The first card we'll create is a classic Xmas card using only the text feature in Cricut Design Space. Here's how:

Classic xmas card
  1. Choose Your Font: Select a font with serifs for a classic look. Type out your desired word (e.g., "Xmas" or "Christmas") and individually adjust the letters to your liking.
  2. Arrange the Letters: Position the letters so that they overlap slightly, creating a cohesive design. Adjust their sizes and positions however you want.
  3. Combine and Weld: Once you're satisfied with the arrangement, select all the letters, then click "Combine" and "Weld" to merge them into a single shape.
  4. Create a Card Base: Design a square shape that will serve as your card base. Ensure it fits the dimensions you want for your card. Place the text inside the square.
  5. Resize and Adjust: Resize and adjust the square and text to fit within your desired card size. Make sure to leave a border around the text.
  6. Cut and Assemble: Send your design to your Cricut Joy for cutting. Use patterned paper or cardstock for the card front, and adhere it to your card base. Your classic Christmas card is ready!

The third card is a personalised initial card. Here's how to make it:

  1. Choose a Font: Pick a font with serifs and type out the recipient's initial (e.g., "L" for Lou!)
  2. Create an Offset: Add a chunky offset to the initial to create a card base. Adjust the offset size and choose rounded corners.
