Easy Embossed Go Press & Foil Card
In this video Janette Lane shares a card that was featured in Simply Cards and Papercrafts Issue 174. For the full instructions, check out that magazine issue at craftstash.co.uk or at a magazine stand near you!
This tutorial features how to use the Couture Creations Go Press & Foil machine to create an easy embossed and gold foiled card. This machine can look a little intimidating but there’s so much you can do! You can use your dies, embossing folders, and hot foil stamps to create foiled designs for your paper projects.
Janette used the Christina Griffiths Card Making Magic collection embossing folder to transfer the folder design onto the card front. She also used the Craftstash Hot Foil Stamps to foil some vellum for a fancy and easy look.
If you don’t have a Go Press machine, no worries! You can heat emboss with the embossing folder and also the hot foil stamp. For the embossing folder you would just need to press your embossing ink pad directly onto your folder, insert your card, and run it through your die cutting machine and then sprinkle embossing powder on it. With the Hot Foil Stamp you could load it up with embossing ink and then press your paper onto it to transfer the ink over and then heat emboss as usual.
