The Hunkydory Cardmaking Collection Kit 6 is now on sale and perfect for all your Christmas crafting. Today’s tutorial features how to make an angled trifold Christmas card using the Hunkydory kit. This type of card folding is so easy and it’s perfect to make and have on display on a mantle or desk.

For your card base you’ll need a piece of A4 card stock and it’ll be scored at 9.9cm and 19.7cm to create a perfect trifold (or score at every 9.9cm). To score our card we used the Tonic Studios Super Trimmer with the scoring attachment for precision scoring. Once you’ve scored your card you’ll need to trim your card at an angle. The steeper the angle, the more dramatic edge you’ll get. We recommend a 15 degree angle.

Watch the Angled Tri-fold Christmas Card video tutorial below for step-by-step instructions for how to create this easy and festive Christmas card. You’ll also learn the following techniques:

  • inking edges with Distress Inks (we used Tumbled Glass)
  • giving your card a weathered look with a sanding block (we love our Kaisercraft Sanding Block)
  • creating angled mat layers
  • how to create a snowflake trim
