Kay is the co-owner of IndigoBlu along with her husband, Alfie. As Design Director she is responsible for the designs of the IndigoBlu stamp range and invented the famous FlitterGlu stamping adhesive. Passionate about crafts, altered art and stamping, she cannot believe her luck that she spends all her time playing and teaching others how to have fun with bits of paper, ink and paint. One day somebody might just cotton on that Kay doesn't have a proper job!! We are very excited about having Kay and Alfie on CraftWorld. They did a Live Masterclass on Wednesday 26th August at 1pm on CraftWorld. Catch it up here! IndigoBlu was launched after Alfie was unfortunately made redundant for the third time. Kay already had a creative background, with 18 years of experience in Design and Photography. So, when a friend suggested they borrow an old stamp machine that was gathering dust they decided to make a go of it. With just enough money for a singular roll of rubber, Alfie began pressing and making red rubber stamps that were designed by Kay. It was in Alfie’s Parents' shed our 'Quintessentially English Red Rubber Stamp Range' was born. After some trial and error to ensure they were able to make high quality, deeply etched, detailed designs, they enlisted the help of David from Samuel Taylors. David supported them in promoting a small range of stamps to crafters in their stores and at retail shows. Kay loves sharing all of her exciting products and ideas with the crafty community and we’re so excited to welcome her to CraftWorld. She did a fantastic FREE Masterclass on our CraftWorld Live. Catch it up and learn Mixed Media techniques for Art Journals; How to use Super Thick Slap it on; Layering techniques commonly used in Mixed Media and much more! They continue to be forever grateful for everyone who has and continues to help them during this journey, their employees, family, friends and customers. "Your continued support of kind words and praise really does inspire us and gives us great pleasure in watching the IndigoBlu family continue to grow". - Kay & Alfie.
