Cricut T-Shirt Box - FREE SVG Template

Hello Crafters! Here's an exciting project for you. We're going to make a DIY Gift Box for Baby clothes using this FREE SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) template, which you can apply to your custom boxes too. This versatile template allows you to resize it to fit any project you want to gift. How cool is that?

Materials Used:

Craft Stash's Free SVG Gift Box Template (Download it at the end of this post!)
Cardstock (recommend 250 GSM or higher)
Holographic vinyl for decoration (optional)
Acetate sheet (for added protection, optional)
Organza ribbon
Craft glue
Craft cutting machine (like a Cricut) and accessories

Step 1: Prepare Your Project

Before you start cutting your box, fold the item you want to gift, so it's the size you want to package it in. Ensure any logos or designs are facing the front, as we'll include a cool aperture to showcase them.

Step 2: Download and Prepare the SVG

Download the free SVG template from Craft Stash and open it in your electronic cutting machine's software (e.g., Cricut Design Space). Resize it to match the dimensions of your folded project, making sure the lid is slightly larger than the base.

Step 3: Cut the Template

Use your cutting machine to cut out the two parts of the SVG template: the lid (with a star aperture) and the plain base. Make sure your project will fit within the base of the box.

Step 4: Assemble the Base

Fold along all the score lines on the base template. Apply glue to the four tabs on the corners and fold them over. Hold them for a few seconds to ensure they stick securely. Use cardstock with a weight of 250 GSM or more for sturdiness.

Step 5: Optional - Add Acetate

For added protection, cut a piece of acetate to fit the top of the box. Attach it inside the lid using craft glue. This step is especially useful if you're mailing the gift.

Step 6: Insert Your Gift

Carefully place your folded baby grow or project inside the base of the box. The star aperture on the lid will allow the design to shine through.

Step 7: Decorate with Ribbon

Wrap an organza ribbon around the box and tie a bow on top. This adds a lovely finishing touch to your gift box. You can personalize the ribbon tails with HTV (heat transfer vinyl) if desired.
