Join Janette Lane as she shares a diecutting tip on how to create a repeating pattern strip! You can use any die for this technique, but she demonstrates how with the brand new Apple Blossom 12 Months of Flowers Collection April Daisies die set. She creates a repeating daisy die cut strip in this quick tutorial and also shares some cards featuring the simple diecutting technique.

To create a repeating pattern strip diecut you will need to first measure your die width. Then grab a piece of cardstock that is 100gsm or less and cut it into a strip that will fit your die. Copy paper will work well too. The next step is ESSENTIAL:) Create accordion folds (use a scoring board for clear creases) that are slightly smaller than the width of your die. You don't want the left and right edges of your die to cut through your paper, so make sure your folds are less wide than your die. Finally die cut your folded paper with your die cutting machine. Use your decorative strip as a fun and unique design element for your projects!
