Materials You'll Need:

  • Watercolour cardstock
  • Craft cardstock
  • Vellum and parchment paper
  • White tissue paper
  • Heat-resistant acetate
  • Solvent ink (e.g., StazOn)
  • Versafine ink (or Memento inks)
  • Stamps with vintage designs
  • White embossing powder
  • Distress inks in vintage colours
  • A blending mat
  • Paintbrush
  • Wet glue
  • Tags and tabs dies
  • Water spritzer
  • Printer for photos (if desired)

Step 1: Stamping on Heat-Resistant Acetate

  • Start by selecting your heat-resistant acetate and solvent ink.
  • Load your chosen vintage stamps onto a stamping platform.
  • Ink up the stamps with the solvent ink (StazOn) and stamp onto the acetate.
  • Allow the ink to dry on the acetate.

Step 2: Creating White Embossed Ephemera

  • Stamp the same vintage designs on the acetate using Versafine ink.
  • Sprinkle white embossing powder over the wet ink.
  • Heat the embossing powder until it melts and becomes glossy.
  • Cut out the black and white ephemera after they've cooled.
