Easy Christmas Box Cards with Papercraft Essentials 167 Gift

14 Nov 2018 0 Comments All, Christmas, Magazines

Today’s tutorial features easy Christmas box cards using the Papercraft Essentials gift included in issue 167. These quick cards feature a little aperture window, plus the box collapses flat and makes it so easy to post. They’re perfect for last-minute Christmas makes too!

To start off you’ll need 2 pieces of cardstock trimmed to 4.25 inches x 5.5 inches. We used the Father Christmas papers and toppers included in the magazine to create our background and foreground.

Next score each piece at .5 inch and 1 inch on both sides along the short edge. (Place your card on your scoreboard in landscape orientation).

Die-cut an aperture with square, heart, circle, or oval die to create a peekaboo effect. We used the Wonky Stitches Nesting Circles to die cut a circle aperture on our foreground.

Add your elements to your card (we added a watercolored stamped Santa from the Father Christmas gift included in Papercraft Essentials 167).

Finally, once you’re happy with your card, then it’s time to assemble it. Simply add adhesive on the first and last scored section of each card as shown below:

Add a sentiment and you’re done! Easy peasy, right?
