Isn’t it fun to try out new card-folding techniques? Sometimes they can be a bit intimidating (like this diamond gatefold is so easy when the steps are broken down) but it’s fulfilling to successfully create a non-traditional-folded card. Today we’re sharing this Double Dutch card which is easy to assemble! The trickiest part might be all the mats for each panel, but once those are done and out of the way, decorating this is super fun! To start off you’ll need a piece of A4 solid colour cardstock. We used Creative Expressions Foundation card (220gsm). Trim one piece to 4 3/16” x 9” and a second piece to 8 ½” x 2”. Score the larger piece at 5 ½” and the smaller piece at 2 1/8” on both sides. These two pieces will form the base of your Double Dutch Card. But before we glue these two together you’ll need to create some mats. For our mats we used the patterned paper included in Creative Stamping Special Edition Kit 2. To recreate this Double Dutch card  you’ll need the following mats:
  • 2 pieces cut to: 3 15/16” x 3 ¼”
  • 4 pieces cut to: 1 7/8” x 1 ¾”
  • 1 piece cut to 3 15/16” x 1 15/16”
Once your mats are cut and glued onto your panels, then it’s time to decorate and add some sentiments. We fussy cut some florals from the kit to add to our card front. We also used the stamps included to create a birthday sentiment. For the full step-by-step instructions, please watch the video below: Buy Creative Stamping Special Edition 2
