Easy pop up card tutorialJanette shares how to create an easy pop up card tutorial perfect for a birthday or a fun occasion with the Lawn Fawn’s Beam Me Up Stamp and Dies.

This 3 tiered pop-up card is easy to do and the quick galaxy background using Cosmic Shimmer Shakers really ties the theme together. Imagine all the pop-up scenes you can create with this easy technique!

You can find a tutorial for making galaxy backgrounds here – Galaxy Background Tutorial

Step 1: Cut 2 pieces of cardstock to the same size (I used black cardstock and cut it to 6in. x 8in.)

Step 2: Score cardstock pieces in half to create side-fold cards

Step 3: Take one piece of cardstock and sprinkle with an array of Cosmic Shimmer Shakers to create a colourful background and spray with water* to activate the powders.

*Spray water at a low, side angle to create radiating colour effects

Step 4: Dry water with a heat tool or let air dry. Blot any excess water with a tissue or cloth.

Step 5: Trim your galaxy cardstock with a paper trimmer creating 3 slits of various sizes. (I used 1in, 2 in, and 2.5 in slits)

Step 6: Score vertical lines at the end points of your slits.

Step 7: Glue your pop up cardstock to your card base with some strong double sided adhesive. Make sure you don’t put any adhesive over the scored pop up lines or slits.

Step 8: Decorate your pop up card with your die-cut shapes and sentiments!
