Getting the mechanism to work smoothly and aligning the panels can be a bit tricky for some crafters. But don't worry! With the help of the template and Lou Collins' expert tips, you'll easily overcome these challenges and make a beautiful card.

1. Preparing the Mechanism: Begin by scoring the template along the dotted lines and folding them to create a flexible accordion-like mechanism. Attach a longer panel to the base using glue. This bar is what holds the waterfall panels and allows them to cascade smoothly.

2. Gluing the Mechanism: Carefully glue the mechanism's white tabs to the card base, ensuring the front panel is positioned with the longer end at the top. This will create the pull tab. Make sure the mechanism is smooth and functions properly by pulling the tab up and down.

3. Adding Waterfall Panels: Prepare the waterfall panels by cutting and stamping your sentiments onto them. For some added depth, consider edging the waterfall panels with black ink! Glue the panels onto the mechanism, allowing them to overlap slightly. This stacking effect will create the cascading waterfall illusion.

4. Decorating and Personalising: Now you can feel free to embellish the card however you want - but keep in mind not to make them too bulky to avoid affecting the mechanism. Lou cuts the tab into an arrow shape, punches a hole in it and threads twine through for an nice detail.

There you have it! Our template makes creating this amazing waterfall mechanism so easy!
