Made To Surprise - the NEW brand by Samantha Calcott

Sam Calcott is the brains behind this amazing brand, and we wanted to know all about “Made To Surprise”: What does it feature and of course where do the ideas come from? This launch is very exciting not only for Sam but us as well as we are thrilled with this fantastic range, full of surprises and features we haven't had before!

Everything started when Sam joined the CraftStash design team in June 2019. After a few months, we realised how creative and amazing she is and that is why in January 2020 we asked her if she would like to design her own range. From there, she knew the fun fold/kinetic style the brand was going to offer, but we needed a name. The design team brainstormed name ideas about this fantastic range and then decided on “Made To Surprise” which suits perfectly with the collection that features.

Made To Surprise is the ultimate way to bring fun and movement to your projects, its innovative kinetic dies will give your makes the wow factor, while the fun additions and themes will be sure to brighten anybody's day. In addition, this collection differentiates from others with its boldness, colour, kinetic features, funny stamp sets and sentiments, allowing you to create cards that will hold that surprise element! Doesn't that sound great?

Sam chose this type of crafting because she has always enjoyed paper crafting and card making, it comes very naturally to her and she loves reworking old designs and creating her own! The “Made To Surprise” launch means a lot to her, it's something that she has wanted to do for some time now, and we all cannot wait for everyone to see the collection and the future designs she has.

As every designer, Sam has her favourite product in the collection - she actually gave it a name! It's called "Geri' the giraffe"... Isn’t that adorable? However, she loves the full collection and would describe “Made To Surprise” as Fun | Kinetic | Cards; and this range of products has been designed so that anyone (even newbies!) can use with a fun fresh way to make beautiful cards.

We all would love this collection to be well received and excite others on what's to come from the brand in the future, as Sam is looking forward to starting to work on the next collection which she is really excited about!
