Simply Lettering Blog Hop: Blended Brush Calligraphy with Tombow Dual Brush Pens

We’re so excited to take part in the Simply Lettering Blog Hop to celebrate the launch of Simply Lettering magazine (you can preorder now) on sale July 18th! There are so many inspiring and helpful brush calligraphy tutorials and tips headed your way so make sure to head there after you’ve taken a look at our blended brush calligraphy tutorial with our Tombow Dual Brush Pens, now available at Craftstash.

You can see the Blog Hop schedule below so you don’t miss out on the fun! Plus there’s heaps of prizes to won! We’re also happy to announce that we’re giving away 2 sets of Tombow pens worth over £40! Now in case you’re new to brush calligraphy we highly recommend Tombow Dual Brush Pens for hand lettering, especially calligraphy beginners. They’re easy to control and the brush nib is firm, but flexible.

In our Simply Lettering Blog Hop tutorial we’re sharing how to create blended brush calligraphy quotes. Did you know you can easily mix two colours of Tombow Brush Pens? Just touch 2 different coloured nibs to transfer ink from one pen to another. This creates a blended effect that gives your lettering a unique look. You can create easy DIYs, personalised gifts, home decor projects, and so much more with hand lettering. Brush calligraphy is such a great skill to pick up. With a bit of practice you can achieve some really nice results!

I have made my Christmas cards for years and now making the occasional birthday card. This technique opens up more crafting opportunities. Thanks for the share.

Such a sweet project. I have a few Tombow markers but have not tried any hand-lettering yet. I didn’t know your could create a two-toned look either. Thanks for the inspiration!
