Hi and a warm welcome to the 6th Anniversary Altenew Blog Hop! Today we have some fantastic projects made by Linda Parker of Papercraft With Crafty who is one of our very talented CraftStash design team members. If you've come to us from the amazing blog "I Love Doing All Things Crafty" by Ilda Dias, you're following the path perfectly! If not, you might want to start from the very beginning at the Altenew Card Blog. You can find a huge selection of Altenew products right here at CraftStash!

Card 1 – Find the Beauty in Every Day by Linda Parker, Papercraft With Crafty

I used some of the Altenew Gradient Lines Washi Tape, cutting  a piece at 6 inches long by 2-3/8 wide before sticking it to my card panel. Then I splattered the whole of the panel with Gold Alcohol Ink, flicking it on with a fine paintbrush. I cut a very fine strip of gold foil to add to the right of the Washi Tape. I then stamped up the flower in three stages, using stamps A1, A2 and A4. I chose to use my Altenew Crisp Dry Inks, starting with Baby Pink (stamp A1), then Pinkalicious (stamp A2) which I stamped off on a spare piece of card before applying over the first stamped image. For my final step, I used Rubellitte (stamp A4), again applying the stamping off technique. For the stem I used Lime for stamp B1 and followed up with Fresh Leaf for stamp B2. I die-cut my stamped images and also die-cut an extra flower and stem in gold foil to offset beneath the stamped flower image, adding more dimension. I layered the panel upon a piece of black fun foam, before sticking it to my card base. I really enjoyed making this card.  This is the first time I have used large pieces of Washi Tape to create a background and I will definitely be trying this again.

Card 2 – Wishing You a Beautiful Day by Linda Parker, Papercraft With Crafty

For this card I created a central square panel measuring 4 x 4 inches and stamped up the stem and leaves using Stamps B1, B2, C2 and C3. For these I used my Altenew Crisp Dye Inks in Pure Graphite and Silver Stone. For the Rose I used Pinkalicious, Coral Berry and Ruby Red using the stamping off technique to achieve softer colours.  I used stamps A1, A2 and A4. This was die-cut and applied over the stem using foam pads to add dimension. My grey card base is 6 x 6 inches and I also cut a black square piece of card at 6 x 6 inches and cut this diagonally, applying to my grey card base. I mounted the white panel onto a black square panel measuring 4-1/4" inches square. I finished up by adding some sparkly gems. I rather like the way the dark diagonal card layer helps to highlight and accentuate the main focal point.

Card 3 – Like a Rose Our Friendship is Beautiful by Linda Parker, Papercraft With Crafty

I really enjoyed putting this card together. I used the Altenew Leaf Burst Stencil, offsetting it on my card panel. For this I used a blending tool and lightly applied some Dew Drops Crisp Dye Ink over the stencil. I used the C2 stem stamp which I stamped in Versamark and gold heat embossed it, before die-cutting. For the Rose flower, I used Stamps A1, A2 and A4.  I used Dew Drops Crisp Dye ink for this layer, using stamp A1. I stamped off onto a spare piece of card, before stamping onto my main panel for a soft base colour to match the stencilling. Then I stamped again in Dew Drops directly onto my base stamp (stamp A2). This time the Dew Drops colour was much more intense. Then for the final layer (stamp A4) I used Aqualicious.  I also used Aqualicious for the sentiment. There is a gold layer of card beneath the focal panel, the top panel have been adhered to a piece of white fun foam before sticking to the gold layer. I used a smattering of tiny sequins to add texture and sparkle. ************ The Classic Beauty bundle is exactly what it says on the label. A classically pretty layered stamp set with some equally beautiful and heartfelt sentiments, and I love that it has coordinating dies. ************
