Choosing and Preparing Your Template Print your chosen template onto thin copy paper. Trim your template using a guillotine or trimmer for precise, clean edges.

Attaching the Template to Cardstock Carefully position your template on the reverse side of your cardstock. For a secure yet removable attachment, use repositionable spray adhesive. This method allows you to remove the template later without leaving any residue.

Cutting Along Solid Lines Using a craft knife and ruler, cut along the solid lines of the template.

Scoring Along Dotted Lines With the template still in place, score along the dotted lines using a scoreboard. Make sure to press firmly to ensure the score lines transfer to the cardstock underneath - this is why it's important to print your card templates onto thin paper. Scoring through both layers may require two to three passes.

Removing the Template Because of the repositionable spray adhesive, you can gently peel off the template from the cardstock. Be cautious not to tear the paper or leave any residue behind.

Top tip! For future projects, keep a piece of acetate handy. Place the adhesive side of the template onto the acetate to maintain its stickiness, allowing you to reuse your template multiple times.

And there you have it—a quick guide to using printed card templates effectively! With these steps, you can go on to create beautifully crafted cards!
